The Terraces groundbreaking featured on two channels in the evening news.
The ground breaking for The Terraces was held March 14, 2008. The Terraces on Tulane is a Volunteers of America National led development containing 200 units of housing for senior citizens.
In attendance at the ceremony were former residents of Forrest Towers East, representatives from the investor JPMorgan Chase, the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency as well as:
