Year complete: 2010, rehabilitation

Units: 150 mixed-income

In August 2010, RNDC completed a $21 million substantial rehabilitation of a property damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The property was redeveloped into the Elysian Courtyards of Gentilly, a 150-unit workforce development located on Gentilly Boulevard, directly across from Dillard University. This is a mixed-income property providing one- and two-bedroom apartments across a variety of income levels, including market-rate.

Financing consists of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Louisiana Office of Community Development, Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP) funds, FEMA replacement housing funds, as well as private foundation support.

51% of the apartments are affordable to households at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI).  Further, 40% of apartments are LIHTC units, serving households at or below 60% of AMI, and 5% of the apartments serve Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) households.
